1) DEFECT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, G-LIST, P-LIST, S.M.A.R.T.
Hello everyone, welcome to DataEmpires. As we know, Due to the low tolerance, volatile nature, and mechanical components of the hard disk, the sectors of the hard disk platter can be damaged and become inaccessible. To overcome and solve these problems, the traditional hard disks have a defect management system. This defect management system is important to maintain the operational stability and reliability of the hard disc. This defect management system has a record of all the defective and bad sectors of the hard disk, and it is important for the prevention of built-in errors.
In this first session of Seagate firmware repairing, we will discuss some important information about defect management systems, G-list, P-list, and SMART that are important for data recovery experts.
2) ADDRESSING SYSTEM, TRANSLATOR, NRG LIST (SECONDARY DEFECT LIST)
Hello everyone, welcome to DataEmpires.
We know, as companies are manufacturing new hard disks, performance and technology are also being upgraded. Also, they regularly upgrading their firmware resources, and try to make the hard disk more secure and reliable. After the huge change to the Seagate new F3 Architecture, there has been a huge increase of Seagate disk drive volume arriving with some level of firmware malfunction. Some of this firmware problem originates from second-level factory surface tests and addressing. In this training session, we will discuss some important information about the hard disk addressing system, NRG list, and translator.
3) HOW TO START FIRMWARE REPAIRING WORK OF SEAGATE HARD DRIVES THROUGH MRT DATA RECOVERY TOOL
Hello everyone, welcomes to data Empires. In previous sessions, we have discussed the MRT hardware tool, its activation, and its software user interfaces till now. Also, we discussed Seagate component level firmware structure in Seagate advanced firmware repairing.
In this training, we will discuss how to start the process of firmware repairing in Seagate hard disk through the MRT tool. We will also discuss how to start work with a ready and busy condition drive, how to select or identify family and architecture in normal mode and boot code mode.
4) MRT SEAGATE USER INTERFACE INTRODUCTION
Hello everyone, welcome to Data Empires. Friends, till now we have discussed the Seagate boot level process and how to start work with the Seagate process. In this session, we will discuss the Seagate user interface of MRT software. And learn about different menu tabs like Test, Tools, Terminal, ROM Operations, SA Operations, Translator Operations, Defect list operations, and many more.
5) HOW TO PERFORM ROM OPERATIONS - READ, WRITE AND BACKUP ROM
Hello friends, welcome to data Empires.
Friends, we have discussed MRT hardware introduction, Seagate user interface, and Seagate firmware basics till now. We have also discussed that the ROM of the Seagate hard disk is unique. To recover the data from any Seagate hard disk, the original ROM code is required. If the original ROM IC gets damaged, corrupt, or mistakenly misplaced, then it cannot be reconstructed. And also the data recovery becomes impossible.
So, In this training session, we will discuss the process of reading, writing, and backup of the Seagate ROM program with the help of the MRT tool.
6) SEAGATE IMPORTANT SYSTEM FILES - HOW TO READ, WRITE AND BACKUP IMPORTANT SYS FILES OF READY CONDITION DRIVE
Hello everyone, Welcome to data Empires. As we know, the firmware program stored in the service area controls the work process of the mechanical components of the hard disc, and the read-write process of the hard disk. Just like the firmware modules in the WD hard disk, the main part of the Seagate firmware is system files. Apart from sys files, Module objects, DT objects, I D pages, and the loader is also important parts. But the sys files are the most important firmware objects.
In this session, we will discuss important sys files and their read, write, and backup process.
7) SEAGATE IMPORTANT SYSTEM FILES - HOW TO READ, WRITE AND BACKUP IMPORTANT SYS FILES OF BUSY CONDITION DRIVE
Hello everyone, Welcome to data Empires. Friends, in the previous session, we discussed the important system files and their read, write, and backup processes of Seagate ready condition hard disk.
In this session, we will discuss how to read and backup system files of a busy Seagate hard disk when system files are not loaded directly. For this, we will use the basic state button to load the sys file information.
8) HOW TO USE DIFFERENT MODES TO BACKUP SYSTEM FILES – ATA MODE , SERIAL MODE, ABA MODE
Hello everyone, Welcome to data Empires. As we know system file backup is very important in Seagate firmware repairing. Many of the time when the hard disk is in a busy condition, We cannot back up system files in ATA mode.
That time we have to try different modes like ATA mode, Serial mode, and ABA mode to backup important system files. In this session of recovery, we will discuss how to use these different modes to back up system files and their uses.
9) 3 PHASE OF SEAGATE FIRMWARE REPAIRING AND DATA RECOVERY – BACKUP RESOURCES, APPLY REPAIRING COMMANDS, DATA EXTRACTION
Hello everyone, welcome to data Empires. Friends, we already discuss the architecture, general Seagate firmware repairing commands and basic firmware repairing methods in the Seagate firmware repairing module. In this session of MRT Seagate firmware repairing, we will discuss the3 phases of Seagate firmware repairing. In which we will learn how to identify general firmware issues, how to backup resources, the common commands used in repairing firmware problems, and how to use data extractor to recover the data from a Seagate hard disk.
