1) WD INTRODUCTION
Hello everyone. We all know that the world is becoming more and more digitized, and therefore, the technology to store the data is also growing, so the types of data storage devices are also growing. Hard disk, SSD drive, SD cards, and flash drive are being used to store the data.
Nowadays, Western digital is acquiring most of the market share of the world, as the biggest hard disc manufacturer company. In this training session, we will discuss the WD hard disk and the process of WD hard disk repairing and data recovery with the help of basic firmware repairing tools.
2) WD FIRMWARE REPAIR SYSTEM SETUP
Hello everyone, We have already discussed in the introduction chapter that, WDR software runs on the port talk method, in the Windows operating system. Therefore, there is no need to detect the patient’s hard disk in a Windows operating system, to repair the damaged WD hard disk. In this chapter of WD firmware repairing training, we are going to discuss the firmware repairing system setup, and understand the WDR software tool setup process.
Video Duration: 3.30 Minute3) HOW TO START WORK WITH WD FIRMWARE TOOL
Hello everyone, welcome to data Empires. Friends, in previous sessions, we discussed WD company, its products, technology, and the computer system setup to repair the WD hard disk firmware. In this training session, we will discuss the basics of the WDR tool, which is used to repair WD firmware. We will also discuss how to use the WDR tool.
Video Duration: 3 Minute4) WD FIRMWARE TOOL – STATUS AND REPAIR REGISTER FLAG
Hello everyone, welcome to data Empires. Whenever we run WDR software, the status register flag, and repair register flag is visible on the bottom side of the console. These register flags tell us about the state of the hard disk and the error information. In this session, we will learn about the error register flag, and how to read its status.
Video Duration: 6 Minute5) WD ROM AND MICROCODE
Hello everyone, welcome to data empires. Friends, we already know that the firmware of the hard disk is stored in two parts. The first part is stored on the PCB of the hard disk. The second part is stored on the platter. If the firmware stored on the PCB gets corrupt or damaged, then the hard disk is not detected, the Hard disk starts giving a clicking sound, or the rotation of the hard disk gets stopped.
Therefore, before performing a firmware repair operation to recover the data from the hard disk, or to repair the hard disk, there is a need to take the backup of the ROM first. In this video training, we will discuss how to backup ROM and how to check the microcode of the WD hard disk with help of a basic firmware tool.
Video Duration: 6 Minute6) WD FIRMWARE MODULE READ AND BACKUP
Hello everyone, welcome to data Empires. We already know that the firmware of the hard disk is just like an Operating System. The way in which the operating system checks itself at the time of system boot, and provides the GUI system environment for the user, similarly, the firmware also tests itself and gets the hard disk ready for the data operations.
The firmware of the hard disk is stored in two parts. The first part is stored in the ROM, or M C U I C on the PCB. The second part is stored in the service area on the platter. In this training session, we will discuss the WD firmware modules and module backup.
7) SOME IMPORTANT FEATURES OF WD FIRMWARE REPAIRING TOOL
Hello everyone, welcome to data Empires. We have discussed various methods and solutions in WD firmware repairing training till now. In that, we have discussed status and repair register flags, ROM and Microcode, and firmware backup process.
In this session of WD firmware repairing training, some important features of the WD firmware repairing tool will be discussed, which are used for the basic level data recovery and hard disk repairing.
